Day 1 : Ouarzazate – Roses Valley – Dades Valley - Todgha Gorges

Distance: 160km Time on the road: 2h:30min

Our journey begins by picking you up from your place in Ouarzazate, either from hotel, riad or airport. The city often called the “Hollywood of Africa” due to its film studios and cinematic landscapes. We then pass through Kalaat M’Gouna, known as the “City of Roses,” famous for its annual Rose Festival held each April. Following that, we continue to Todra gorges, passing via the Oasis of Skoura, where there are various historic kasbahs, we will visit the amazing Kasbah of Amridil, then we continue Dades valley we visit Tisdrine pass and monkey fingers rock formation. Afterwards, we drive towards Tinghir and the day ends in the Todra Valley, where you will enjoy dinner and a peaceful night at your Riad.

Day 2 : Todgha Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga desert

Distance: 270km Time on the road: 4h:30min

After breakfast, the journey continues a little distance to Todra gorge, where you take a short stroll to see the sheer sides of the ravine and the tiny stretch of sky above. From there, you proceed to the Chebbi dunes via Tinjdad, the Oasis of Tafilalet and Erfoud, famed for its Date Festival, and Rissani, which is the seat of the Alaouite family of the current Moroccan monarch. Between Tinjdad and Erfoud, you stop and explore the amazing subterranean water tunnels deep beneath the soil, which are constantly cold and avoid evaporation of this source of irrigation. In Erfoud, you may observe the transformation of thousands of fossils into various items. Lunch will take place on our road to the desert. When we arrive, you will ride the camels, and your luggage will be taken to the camp by car. After your arrival at the camp, you will be greeted with a glass of tea before showing your tent. Dinner is followed by Berber music.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert - Nkoub - Draa valley - Agdez - Ouarzazate

Distance: 323km Time on the road: 5h:30min

If you get up early enough, you may enjoy the spectacle sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the movement of shadows are breathtaking. The journey continues to the Dra’a Valley via the town of Tazzarine (as shown in the film ‘Babel’) and then to N’Qob for lunch. Our desert adventure continues in the afternoon to Tanasikht, where we will travel along the historic caravan road to explore the true Draa Valley, complete with massive palm trees and ancient settlements. You return to Ouarzazate, where our three-day desert journey from Ouarzazate to Merzouga Sahara comes to an end.
