Upon arrival in Tangier, our driver will meet you at the port or airport for your transfer to Chefchaouen. On the way, we stop in Tetouan, often called the “Spanish city,” before continuing to the famous blue city of Chefchaouen. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a guided walk through its winding alleys, traditional houses, and stunning panoramic viewpoints. Admire the iconic blue-and-white architecture that makes this mountain town so unique. Later, you will check into your hotel in Chefchaouen.

Distance:  265km Time on the road: 4h 30min

After breakfast, you will leave Chefchaouen and travel towards Volubilis, Morocco’s most famous archaeological site. These impressive Roman ruins, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcase ancient mosaics, temples, and columns that tell the story of Morocco’s Roman heritage.

Then your journey continues to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities and the former capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Here, you will visit the magnificent Bab Mansour Gate, one of the finest examples of Moroccan architecture, and explore El Hedim Square, a lively plaza often compared to Marrakech’s Djemaa El-Fna. Following that you can have your lunch in Meknes before you continue your trip.

In the afternoon, you will head to Fez, also known as the “Athens of Africa”. This historic city is the oldest Islamic city in Morocco and has long been a center of spirituality, education, and culture. When you arrive Fez, you will check into your Riad. Overnight stay in Fez.

Distance:  10 minutes and you will walk in The Medina with local guide

After breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fez is the country’s oldest imperial city and home to the world’s first university, founded in the 9th century. With its remarkably well-preserved medieval architecture, Fez feels like a living museum, where time stands still between the Middle Ages and the present day.

As you wander through the labyrinth of 9,000 narrow streets in the Fez Medina, you will encounter lively markets filled with fresh produce, fragrant spices, and traditional Moroccan sweets flavored with cinnamon and honey. Donkeys and mules remain the main means of transportation, adding to the authentic atmosphere. The rhythmic hammering of metalworkers crafting pots and utensils, combined with the echoing call to prayer, creates a timeless soundscape that has endured for centuries.

Your guided tour will also take you through the bustling souks of Fez, where master artisans still practice age-old crafts: handwoven silk and Berber carpets, leather goods, gold and silver jewelry, and more.

After an enriching day discovering the treasures of Fez Medina, your driver will return you to your hotel for the evening.

Distance:  463km Time on the road: 7h 30min

After breakfast, your Morocco desert tour continues as we travel from Fes to Merzouga. Although it is one of the longest drives of the trip (around seven hours), the changing landscapes make it unforgettable. Our first stop is in Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” for its alpine-style chalets, ski resort, lakes, and snowy winters. We then continue to Azrou, where you can stroll through the cedar forest, admire the majestic Atlas cedars, and meet the friendly wild monkeys. Lunch will be served in Midelt before driving through the scenic Ziz Valley and canyon. We’ll stop at panoramic viewpoints for photos before reaching Merzouga, where you will check into your hotel near the golden Sahara dunes.

From there, we travel through Tinjdad on the way to the spectacular Todra Gorges, famous for their towering cliffs reaching up to 300 meters high. Here, you will have time to walk along the gorge and enjoy the stunning natural scenery.

The journey continues through the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.

After exploring the kasbah, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2,260 meters.
