2 Days Desert Tour from fez to fez

After breakfast, your authentic Morocco tour continues toward the spectacular Sahara Desert. Today is one of the longest drives (around seven hours), but the changing landscapes make it an unforgettable experience.

Our first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine-style architecture, cool climate, beautiful parks, and winter ski resort. From here, we continue toward Azrou, where you will meet the friendly Barbary macaque monkeys and admire the majestic cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains.

We then head to Midelt for lunch before continuing through the dramatic Ziz Valley and Ziz Gorge. Along the way, we pause at panoramic viewpoints to take photos of the lush valley surrounded by desert plateaus.

By late afternoon, we reach Merzouga, at the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Here, your adventure begins with a camel trek across the dunes, while your luggage is transported by 4×4 to the desert camp.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the camp staff, shown to your private tent, and given time to shower and relax. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner followed by traditional Berber music under the starry desert sky.
